Seattle Bike Supply of Kent, Washington, in cooperation with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, has announced a voluntary recall for their Redline Conquest Cyclocross bicycles and framesets (photo), because the fork blades can separate from the fork crown and cause a loss of control, posing a serious injury risk. Five failures, but no injuries have been reported.
Consumers should stop riding the recalled bicycles immediately and contact us to arrange for a free fork replacement.
Included in this recall:
2010 Redline Conquest framesets
2010 Redline Conquest bicycles
These models were sold at Redline bicycle dealers from July 2009 through May 2010 for between $400 and $1,400. Bicycles and framesets are Yellow and Black and have aluminum frames with aluminum forks. Redline is printed on the frame.
