I have had my Townie for over 2 years and I still LOVE it. As a firefighter I have to stay in shape and my Townie gives me a great workout with the comfort of sitting up and at 5'1 the flat foot technology is extrememly helpful. I added a pouch to carry my cell phone, a drink holder on the handle bars and lights for riding in predawn conditions. I have pretty much maxed out the bling. I usually ride anywhere from 5-12 miles 5 days a week. Being >50 years this bike helps keep me in good shape. It is also very durable. I bounced it off my rack and it hit the front tire on the pavement. Took it to the shop and they fixed it and tuned it up for me at no charge! Great service.

My Husband gave this bicycle to me for my 54th Birthday. At my 53rd B-day I was still walking with a cane, and about 130# heavier and still very sick. What is it that they say? What a difference a year makes? A big one for me!!! I was diagnosed after 23 yrs of living in a large body that I had an undiagnosed severe Metabolic Disease (Syndrome) that caused me to gain an excessive amount of weight. I won't bore you with it all, but once it was discovered and they found the culprit that caused it .. well .. the weight started just peeling off. Finally, I was able to exercise again. I tried to take up biking again, but since I have really long legs, and knees that need knee replacements my original bike just wasn't doing it. So we went to the bike shop and was told to try the "Townie." It was truly the answer to ALL of my prayers. My knees aren't going to be done till Oct 2015 after my daughters wedding, but now that I've lost over 168# and am now riding my Townie all over the place, I'm going to be one "Hot Mama" at my daughters wedding!!! My Townie is keeping me youthful, and putting the shape back in my youth. It's a great bike. And with my knees, if I can ride it pain free .. so can you. Oh by the way, I didn't tell you about my 3 old fx.'s in my back did I? I forgot .. because riding doesn't bother those either. You'll love this bike, I promise!!!!

I am in my 60s with a bad back and knee, and it's been years since I really enjoyed being on bike. When I bought my Townie on a 95+ degree day, I rode it 5 miles home in the heat and grinned all the way. It is so much fun to ride. I feel stable and safe, the saddle is really comfortable, and the suspension smooths out the bumps in the road! Even though I ride it on pretty flat terrain, I use most of the gears on a typical ride. I use it instead of the car in reasonable weather for running errands or making short trips. The one minor downside it that bike is a bit heavy, so I'm not sure that I could lift it myself to take it up or downstairs, but that's not a big deal. I LOVE my Townie!
